My Brother Got his Eagle!

Last month my brother Earned his Eagle rank....
He did it all, start to finish in 23 months. That has really inspired me.
He is getting all of these letters from the White House, Marine Corps, Air Force, and even NASA!
Way to go big brother! Im fast on your heels though, In my first year
I have already earned the Star rank, and have everything I need already
for Life, except I need to wait for 6 months.

This was taken right after he came out from his
Eagle Board of Review.

Fishing

During a scout fishing derby I caught something pretty unusual!

Its called a Red Bellied Pacu. Texas Fish & Wildlife were pretty interested in this ugly fish. I thought I caught a piranah. The teeth on that sucker was enormous!! That kind of fish isn't supposed to be here in a small man made lake, or even in Texas. The teeth on these fish make it easy to bite the line. So thats why they are not caught very much.

Crash N Burn Campout

This was one of my favorite campouts! We launched rockets!!
And boy! did we launch...

Projects & Friends in Scouting

I really like doing service projects...You get to make things, or do things that help you learn new stuff. It's fun working with tools and hammers.
My brothers Eagle project was constructing a 15x9x12 bird cage for a
wildlife rehab. It was sooo cool.

This is one of the Hawks that was there, and the cage is behind us
in the photo.

And these are my buddies..

Peanut Butter Cake Balls & Recipe

I have not tried these yet, but thought I would post the recipe. If anyone tries it, please add a comment below and let me know how they are. I plan on posting a picture of it, and I am going to add a mini pretzel stick in the center.
*******************************************************

Prep time:45 Min

- 1 bx moist deluxe yellow cake mix (you can use
chocolate cake mix if you'd like)
- 8 oz peanut butter, creamy
- 8 oz peanut butter, crunchy
- milk or semi sweet chocolate melted for coating cake
balls
- 1 pkg peanut butter chips melted for drizzling
(optional)
- roasted peanuts chopped finely for sprinkling
(optional)
1. Make cake according to package directions and cool cake.
2. Crumble cake with forks and mix in both peanut butter. Scoop 1" balls or use cookie scoop to form cake balls. Smooth out balls with your hands and place on parchment paper lined cookie sheets. Chill or freeze cake balls.
3. Melt chocolate and roll cake balls and throughly coat with chocolate and place back on cookie sheets with parchment paper. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts or drizzle with melted peanut butter chips or coating. Let set and serve. I've noticed that if you do this the night before the flavors mingle better.

Past Cake Bite Photos

Ok, So as part of a merit badge requirement I need to have a required number of posts, So I am going to show you the Halloween cake bites
I made for a party my neighbor was having. They were a big hit, and Im pretty sure she will order again. Cake pops/balls are a BIG pain to make, and well worth having someone else make them.
These were red velvet cakes with orange colored chocolate, The red velvet cake inside looks like blood!
